The Homeschool Book Shop Newsletter>
OPEN!

October 21, 2008

We have been hesitant to announce our opening as we are learning how to operate the various aspects of the store. As of today, we are beginning to sell! It was a momentous occasion and our first customer, Michelle, was very brave to let us ring up her purchase. I am still in awe of God and we are at His mercy.

Because I don't know how else to say it, the store is a true physical location! We seem to be surprising our guests with the fact that it is not a basement. I think most folks expect to come in and find a dark, musty basement of leftovers, but we are truly a retail location. We tried to make the shop welcoming, home-like and pleasant. Come and see just how cozy it is. When we have been here longer, it may get a bit crowded with books, but for now, it is uncluttered, clean and refreshing.

We are finally operational, but we still have 3/4 of the inventory to get on the shelves! We are able to sell the items on the shelves, though not many items are on the shelf, yet. If you come in to the store, you will likely find me at the counter entering items or flitting about the shop shelving.

We are so gald to be able to put the "OPEN" signs out!

Our prayers are for God's people during this unpredictable time in our economy. We certainly feel the crunch and find ourselves happily turning to the Lord for His direction in each step we take. It is such a relief to know that we are utterly and ultimately in His hands!

With Grattitude to our Lord,

A.
