The Homeschool Book Shop Newsletter>
Counters

October 4, 2008

Yesterday we installed the counters and finished the shelves.

Bill Twigg and his son Ben Twigg from Moscow, ID spent the day here making the sawdust fly. I think it must be in every nook and cranny! Bill Twigg is a cartwright. He was my Trigonometry teacher at Logos Christian school in Moscow, ID. After that, I worked one hot, exhausting summer in his shop helping him build various buggies and parts and a massive cubbie for the spokes he orders from the Amish. When I called Bill and asked him to help me with setting up The Homeschool Book Shop, he said I didn't need him, I could do it myself. I was prepared for this. Bill has always encouraged me to "Be All That You Can Be!" (but not in the army). I knew he would suggest this. I was prepared for his jovial suggestion and quickly let him know that he was far more qualified than I and could get it done 10x faster than I.

He laughed and hugged me and agreed to help me. I was right. He brought his son Ben with him and the two of them finished the job in a day! I'm overjoyed to not be sitting at a folding table while I type this, but to be sitting at a fully functional counter! Thanks, Bill and Ben!!

We are another step closer to being able to log books into the computers and start loading the shelves! Yippee!

God is good and He never fails!
