Scott and Dianna Brannan are our representatives in Olympia (for Washington State). Mrs. Brannan is a known and respected advocate for home education. She is in Olympia during legislative sessions and keeps us informed about pertinent topics under scrutiny. Legal advice and protection with current news on laws for home education nation-wide. These are the folks who have defended the rights of parents nationally. If you aren't a member, consider becoming one!   INCH Inland Northwest Christian Homeschoolers A local homeschool co-op.   Inland Northwest Homeschool Conference Planning has already begun for the next Conference! We have a great time meeting so many folks from all over the Northwest! The speakers continue to encourage & inspire interdependent private homeschooling, Lunch is delicious and the new vendor hall is full! We thoroughly enjoy our experiences at this conference as a vendor! Set the date aside for next year! End of March! Keeper of the Faith Sweet, yet tenacious Christian faith in educational materials. We have enjoyed the "Contenders" and "Keepers" clubs for our young children. It is an alternative to Awana with a great deal more depth.   LIVE Online Math "Oh, You're the Math Guy!" I hear parents say all the time that investing in a math tutor was one of the best things they did for their kids. If you are like so many others who struggle to teach math, check out this option! Logos School Christian educational materials from a Biblical worldview. I attended Logos for the final two years of high school and grew more in my ability to learn during that two years than ever before. Since that time, they have graduated many fine students. Several of the gifted teachers at Logos have compiled various expertise into books. Some of these books are regularly used by home edcuators. Consider sending for their catalog and exploring some of the areas in which they excell.   Maxwell Family A sincere and encouraging family. We have had the pleasure of hearing the Maxwell family in person at a homeschool conference. These lovely folks are so devoted to Christian living! You may find some real encouragement from their methodical, joyful lives!       Mindware Educational, hands-on toys for kids of all ages!   Moody Bible Institute - Spokane I have been privileged to meet a couple of families who are involved with Moody in Spokane. If you are wondering what the next step is for your homeschool graduate, here is an option. National Home Education Research Institute Brian Ray and his family are a fabulous resource for statistics regarding home educators. This organization performs credible research regarding homeschooling in America. They are based in Oregon.   No Greater Joy Ministries The child-rearing methods of this ministry have encouraged many families. We particularly like their outreach to the overseas military families.   Rainbow Resource In the early daze...oops, I mean, days, of homeschooling, this was my primary source for learning about every homeschool and education source I could possibly think of! If you want to buy new, these folks are fabulous! Can't promise that we will be better than their price every time, but we will certainly try. If you find their products new at a cheaper price than ours are used, then we will give you a 5% discount on that item. You must show us a current Rainbow Resource catalog with the new price to receive this discount. The reason Rainbow can offer their products at such great prices is that they purchase from the vendors in HUGE quantities. We love these folks. If you are looking for new, they are hard to beat!   Sonlight We are impressed with Sonlight's curriculum. In particular, we have benefited from the literature. The emphasis is on understanding God in all cultures of the world. Through understanding other cultures, we can then begin to reach others for Christ. I believe this curriculum was initially developed for missionary families. Our family devours the literature books! A great supplement to any type of home education. Thanks for your ministry Sonlight!   S.M. Davis During a difficult time in my life, Dr. Davis' sermons gave me hope for healing, sound Biblical teaching and occasionally those hard words of conviction! I have never had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Davis, but I have more than benefitted from his wisdom through his tape/CD ministry. The kids have enjoyed listening to his sermons during our driving times or during dinner.    Tapestry of Grace I am so biased about these folks! Imagine, history chronologically, from a biblical perspective, exploring history, art, cultures, geography and church history. In addition, it uses the distinctives of popular definitions of classical education (Lower Grammar, Upper Grammar, Dialectic, and Rhetoric).  Now imagine a program that is entirely reusable for every child, adaptable for every age and suitable for a rigorous high school program complete with defined high school credits. I'm not joking! It is all here! The intitial investment is significant, but spread out over several children, all ages and years of reuse, it is nickles and dimes or less! These folks have a fabulous website for users of their curriculum. This is well worth your examination! The Bible in Living Sound Dramatized Produced by a Northwest group. Our family is very auditory. We try to take advantage of every spare minute to fill our minds with truth. Even when the kids are taking a break with Legos or doing the dishes, our minds are engaged with dwelling on the Lord and His mighty acts. These dramatized Bible stories have been the starting point for many great and heated conversations in our family and we love to get out our Bibles and find out just exactly what happened.   The Big Haus When we were in college in Moscow, ID and Pullman, WA, we were privileged to know and live with Evan and Leslie Wilson. Their ministry to young people is priceless! They own and operate a boarding house. It is a huge Craftsman style mansion in the heart of the historic district of Moscow, ID. Please, explore their website and don't hesitate to call them for an explanation of their ministry. They are likely to become an exention of your family.   The Museum Tour (for kinesthetic learners) Hands-on fun and learning! Wonderful way to get "right in the thick of it."   Timberdoodle We probably own a majority of what Timberdoodle has carried over the years. This is a local Northwest company with full hearts for Christ and children. For new homeschoolers, they have some wonderful materials to help you get started and many things to keep you going!   Valley Home Scholars I've heard that this is the largest homeschool group in the Spokane area. If you are local, it is worth getting on their mailing list so that you can be apprised of all the opportunities for local homeschoolers. Special emphasis on independent homeschooling.   Veritas Press Back in the day when our family was just getting started on homeschooling, these folks gave us direction and inspiration as we pursued excellence for our family. They have a great layout of their selective materials by grade. They also help keep it simple for those who may be overwhelmed by their first searchings into home educating.   Vision Forum Many qualities to be inspired by! Equipping believers to take dominion and men to rise up and lead their families. The value of this ministry has been significant in our family!   Voddie Baucham  We are so thankful for this ministry!
